Writing

The library offers its expertise in scientific publishing to assist you in your choice of publications according to various criteria:

  • editorial benchmarks (readers' committee, distribution, predatory publishers, etc.)
  • bibliometric criteria (rank A, H-index, Impact Factor, etc.)
  • national and international requirements (Plan S, National Open Science Plan)

Archiving on HAL

All IMT Mines Albi scientific publications are archived at the library and posted on the HAL IMT Mines Albi institutional portal.

In line with the proactive policy of free access to scientific publications established at national and European level, IMT Mines Albi strongly encourages its authors to post their publications online within its institutional portal.

Any publication with an "IMT Mines Albi" affiliation must be reported by its author(s) to the library, which then archives and reports it. Once the publication is referenced on the portal, we notify you. You may then upload your PDF in a few clicks.

Increasing online visibility of my publications

Faced with the multiplicity of scientific publication platforms and author repositories, the library supports you in taking control of your digital identity and web visibility.

In accordance with your profile, desires and objectives, we help you create and manage your IDs (IdHAL, IdRef, ORCID,...) and online professional information. We can also assist you in editing your personal bibliography, your HAL resume, or in protecting your copyrights on academic social networks.

The referenced media source is missing and needs to be re-embedded.

The researcher ID is not a connection ID, but a key that links you to your publications. Essential for your visibility!

Understanding copyright

You are a co-author of scientific publications and as such are entitled to the protection of your copyrights as defined by the Intellectual Property Code. These rights allow you to publish more widely your publications through online self-archiving.

For cases not provided for by French law, the library will assist you in your dealings with a publisher when seeking authorization to deposit in your open institutional archive HAL IMT Mines Albi, whether retrospectively or at the time of signing a contract.

Should you want to go further, we will answer all your queries about copyright and licenses applied to scientific publications.
